Sometimes Sleeping through a Show is Good

On this day I get word near midnight from Victoria Collier of votescam.com that I am supposed to appear about 10 AM tomorrow morning, September 1, 2000  -- with her -- on the radio show of intrepid investigative Talk Show Host Ken Bagwell of North Carolina. Vicky lives in North Carolina. So she is slated to be in the studio.

I know I will be up all night writing – because I am off schedule, behind on these Network America e-wires, behind on getting the book “Is Election Night Just Another Computer Game?” done, behind on planning the radio campaign that will hopefully break this campaign wide open – there's just too dang much to do right now – that HAS to be done.

But I plan to set my alarm for 10 AM – and call in about half way through the Ken Bagwell radio show for about five minute, unless I’m needed longer-- no sense in overkill as Vicky can carry a show on her own, as she does regularly.

Well, it turns out that I don’t hear the alarm or the phone, as I don’t get to sleep until shortly after 8 AM. So two hours later I must have been in deep rem mode, or alternatively sleeping “the sleep of the dead” – as my friend in Texas calls it, borrowing the phrase from a comment in an old western movie. (In that movie, they said “the dead do not work” – but – after working at times on too little sleep for too long --- my Texas friend and his wife revised that quote to read, “the dead DO work.")

Anyway, Ken Bagwell called in Dan Gutenkauf of Arizona from the bullpen, to join Vicky. Amidst lively calls, Vicky and Dan complemented each other nicely – and it was a great show. Much better than if I had been on – for Dan knows the laws we need to use to assert our rights much better than I do – due to his four year long fight to get his case to the Supreme Court. And one caller pressed hard on the issues of what the law was.

Dan had been on the Ken Bagwell Show once before--right before the CFVC convention – and he had done the Chuck Geshlider show in California. And we’ll be carrying a lot of Dan’s research in this ewire, and on our votefraud.org website, so stay tuned. Talk Show hosts take note: you may want to have Dan Gutenkauf on your show to fill in the LAWS which back up our common sense conclusion that your right to vote INCLUDES your right to have your vote counted honestly. So – it turns out -- sometimes sleeping through a show can apparently be good!
