Updates and On-Line Petition
Be sure to read the SUPERBLY worded online petition to Congress to outlaw electronic voting at the end of this email. It makes the point that when electronic voting systems are in use, the "Certification" of election results by both county Boards of Election and the Secretaries of State - are fraudulent.
Part I: Updates
Thursday, March 2, 2000 : item: On Hardball, Pat Goddell, democratic strategist turned public spirited activist, admonised McCain to realize the great "constituency" who reject both Bush and Gore, and who want a Reformer to lead them ….. item: On the same night, On Hannity & Colmes, Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor for Clinton went much further!!! Reich said that he had INSIDE INFORMATION that McCain would run third party.
This may bring together the contradictory strands of all the pro-Bush, and pro-McCain spurts we've seen. Bush gets GOP nod, Gore gets Dem nod (several big media outlets started talking this weekend as if its already a done deal. BUT, we may be seeing the beginning of a scenario where McCain, a la nerdy Cong. John Anderson in 1980, runs third party on the Reform Party, with Perot suddenly coming out of the closet to boost him (keep in mind, if that happens, how Perot has pretended he's "above the fray" throughout this whole last year). And in this scenario, it is still up in the air which candidate will get the nod of the Ruling Elite behind the computer programs. Bush is coming off as the much more "down to earth" guy - just looking at it from a superficial level. Of course, it McCain tries to go Reform, there will be the "mother" of all nomination contests, because the Buchanan Brigades won't take that lying down.
Also, on another subject, the slideshow of the ladies being strong-armed out of the vote counting session -- by Police and Election employees -- on www.clean.org was of an event that took place in Bexar County, Texas - not Washington state as I had said in earlier e-wires. It's the CLEAN group that is in located in Washington state. AND, we've been getting reports that people are getting a blank, black screen when they try to look at that slide show. I saw it fine, so maybe it's a glitch. If the problem persists, we'll keep you up to date.
Part II: Online Petition to Outlaw Electronic Voting.
Here's one of the emails we carried on Feb 26, 2000: "Jim, -- No where in your missive did you mention the fact that there is a petition to the Congress of the United States to outlaw electronic voting. This petition may be signed on line at www.i-charity.net . [NA note: You then click on "private citizens", and then click onto "online petitions" in the left hand column, then about 6 down you will see the "Petition to Outlaw Electronic Voting."] It may also be printed out and signatures gathered and forwarder to all Congressional representatives.

Here's the excellent wording of the petition:
"We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America, do hereby petition the Congress of the United States of America to outlaw the use of electronic vote tabulating machines in all elections throughout the United States of America, it's protectorates and holdings. Whereas source code has been determined to be proprietary data and no one save the writer of the code is permitted to view the code, the certification of elections, by the State's Attorney's General constitute fraud and; Whereas the people, of the United States of America, cannot challenge the vote at precinct level nor verify election results and; Whereas the Congress of the United States of America routinely certifies fraudulent election results; We the undersigned demand the immediate cessation of certifying electronic vote tabulation and require the return to verifiable paper ballots."
Another day we'll analyze this wording to see why it is so excellent. Till towmorrow . . .
